This position will provide direct supervision for the Sacramento Distribution Operations.
Support the Business Development function in the operational analysis pricing and integration of water and wastewater business opportunities. Supports manager to ensure effective people management policies and practices are implemented (e.g., time and attendance, workforce management, etc.) and ensures resources are developed and deployed appropriately.
Continue to reinforce the importance of developing a diverse workforce. Work collaboratively with other functional leads to mitigate business risks.

Experience with union workforce and operating under CBA preferred.

Must possess valid driver's license.
Experience: Two (2) years of previous supervisory experience.
Knowledge of the regulated water/wastewater business within the region and the regulations impacting the business as well as applicable regulations, requirements, and trends within water/wastewater business.
Previous experience managing teams is preferred
California D2 certification required. California D3 certification preferred.
Expert knowledge of process and operational areas.
Water utility or utitily background is preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in operational discipline, management, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience (3-5 years)
Strong management skills (planning, organizing, analysis, problem solving, team working, employee development).
Successful candidate must obtain California D4 certification within 24 months of hire.
Excellent leadership skills, presence, and the ability to deal effectively with and maintain productive relationships with employees at all levels (including represented employees), senior management and various external stakeholders. Ability to lead, motivate and empower employees.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures and management theories, practices, and trends.
