  • Develop strategy for expanding survey services within the geographic reach; work with VP of Land Surveying Services and Business Development staff to implement
  • Manage a portfolio of land surveying and multi-disciplinary projects including schedules, financials, project staff and client interface
  • Collaborate with other disciplines in the preparation of proposals for survey services
  • Completes needs assessments and offers recommendations for new technology
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities within the geographic area:
  • Manages archiving of survey records
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to identify opportunities for survey services
  • Manage local land survey staff activities, training, and career pathing
  • Drive a passenger vehicle
  • Actively identify and cultivate new business
  • Responsible for QAQC and certification of final land surveying deliverables
  • Reviews and submits staff time sheets
  • Ensures maintenance of existing technology
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Participates in corporate strategic planning
  • Represents the land survey group on multi-discipline project teams
  • Reviews and submits monthly project billing

  • Knowledge of advanced land surveying systems & technics, technology, and analysis
  • Strong Civil3D and advanced GPS post processing software
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Completes years performance reviews for direct reports
  • Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in equal or related position of responsibility demonstrating past management experience.
  • Maintain a current driver's license in good standing and able to operate company owned vehicles
  • AAS or BS degree in a technology discipline such as land surveying, engineering, geology, forestry, or landscape architecture.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment and independently
