Support the bridge design group and other disciplines by applying structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of structural designs.
Participate in bridge designs, develop design plans, perform structural load calculations and quantity takeoffs, review shop drawings and field submittals.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good communication skills and be willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment on a wide range of projects
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar
Must be willing to work with other disciplines (bridge inspection, roadway design, hydraulic analysis, construction services, environmental) within the office
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge
New graduate candidates considered; additional bridge/structural design experience will also be considered
Strong understanding and hands-on use of computers for structural layout and design
Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred
Bently OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
MS Office, MathCAD and Microstation experience
EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of “Designer” and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment
Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and other DOT design guidelines considered a plus
Familiarity with MIDAS, STAAD, or LARSA or other general structural analysis programs as well as OpenBridge Designer, MDX, AASHTOWare BrR, Finite Element Analysis software, and other structural design programs is a plus
