Tasks

-Arrive on time and prepared for assigned tasks and shifts as directed by the Field Crew Coordinator. -Contribute to safety planning activities including emergency response planning, hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and daily tailgate meetings. -Support the Crew Chief in meeting project timelines and deliverables. -Foster a positive and professional team environment and represent IGI respectfully in all interactions with clients, contractors, and the public. -Assist with organizing and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials at project sites, in the office, and in crew vehicles. -Comply with client safety protocols, Alberta OH&S regulations, and IGI’s Integrated Safety Program. -Participate in safety training and demonstrate competent use of survey-related equipment and vehicles.

Integrated Geomatics Inc. (IGI) is currently seeking a Survey Assistant to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. IGI supports client development by integrating survey and environmental services with GIS mapping and design. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in geomatics technology or someone who enjoys working outdoors. -Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required. -This is a safety-sensitive position requiring valid safety certifications (H2S, First Aid, CPR). -Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract. -Diploma or degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is considered an asset. -Adaptable and solution-oriented mindset. -Familiarity with survey methodologies is an asset. -Strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction effectively. -Previous experience in surveying or outdoor fieldwork is preferred. -Willingness to travel and work flexible hours based on project needs. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD is an asset. -Excellent time management and organizational skills.
