

Develops advanced molten‑salt small modular nuclear reactors for clean, scalable power generation.
Interns will work in varied physical settings, including ladders, scaffolding, confined spaces, and areas requiring the handling of objects up to 50 lb. They may also encounter low‑ and high‑temperature environments, outdoor conditions, noise, and exposure to chemicals or fumes.
The internship focuses on hands‑on operation and maintenance of advanced fabrication and machine‑shop equipment. Candidates should have shop experience, enjoy fabrication work, and be able to thrive in a fast‑moving, team‑oriented environment while demonstrating craftsmanship, organization, and attention to detail.
Safety is a core expectation: interns must read hazardous warnings, use proper PPE such as masks, face shields, gloves, and safety shoes, and promptly report unsafe conditions or equipment issues. Knowledge of shop safety practices and proper handling of hazardous materials is required.
