In this position you will receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, diagnose equipment and system malfunctions, and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm and related building systems at customer sites. You will follow troubleshooting procedures, consult technical manuals, read blueprints, and install various manufacturers’ fire and life safety systems. Excellent customer service is required, including clear communication, obtaining signatures, completing service acknowledgements, and participating in an on‑call rotation.
The role involves troubleshooting and repairing installed panels, replacing devices, resolving low‑voltage circuit issues, and testing systems. You must organize technical resources, communicate effectively, program fire alarm, security, and access‑control panels, and document all activities promptly. Occasional after‑hours work, upselling opportunities, and providing quotes to support recommendations are also part of the job.
We require at least five years of documented experience with low‑voltage electrical systems such as fire/life safety, access control, nurse call, or paging, and NICET Level II certification is preferred. Candidates must be able to read blueprints and manuals, use test equipment, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Physical ability to lift 50‑70 lb, work at heights up to 40 ft, and tolerate climbing ladders, scaffolding, ducts, and crawl spaces is essential, as is a valid driver’s license and flexibility to work weekends and travel overnight.
We offer a competitive starting pay, paid training, and global advancement opportunities. Eligible employees may receive a company vehicle, referral bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, short‑ and long‑term disability, employee assistance, wellness programs, and more.
The hourly rate ranges from $29.81 to $42.31, determined by education, experience, skills, and market data, and includes a competitive benefits package. Exceptional candidates may be considered outside this range. Our hiring process may use AI‑assisted tools, but final decisions are made by human reviewers.
