Entry Level Lighting Designer - All PAE Locations

Description

• Attend meetings with team members representing PAE under the LUMA brand
• Complete assigned work on time with instruction from the project leads
• Actively participate in project design and construction phases
• Support preparation and production of project deliverables with attention to detail
• Develop design and technical skills to increase knowledge and experience required for this position and to grow as a professional lighting designer
• Participate in lighting industry organizations and events to build supporting relationships and knowledge
• Support design and production documentation to convey lighting design concepts and design intent using design techniques and software including but not limited to hand sketching, mock-ups, participation in design charrettes, REVIT/BIM production, lighting calculation software (AGI, Lightstanza), etc.
• Interact and promote the core values of PAE and professionalism with project team members both internal and external

Requirements

• Basic understanding of light’s impact in Architecture
• Clear graphic and oral communication of design
• Time management and organization
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (emphasis on Photoshop & InDesign), Illumination calculation software (AGI), digital design modeling software (Sketchup, 3D Max, Rhino, or similar)
• College Degree (or equivalent design related training) required, preferable in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design or related field
• Open and receptive to constructive critique
• This is a hybrid position based in any of our PAE offices.
• Experience in Building Information Modeling (REVIT)
