The incumbent will conduct technology systems analysis of low‑voltage networks, security, audiovisual and other special systems for specific market verticals. The purpose is to mitigate design risks, identify construction challenges, and develop solutions that improve constructability and performance.
- Perform technical reviews of network, security, audiovisual, and special systems to assess constructability and recommend sequencing.
- Evaluate project designs, program intent, contractual obligations, and deliverables related to technology work.
- Assess project documentation such as BODs, drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Verify code compliance with local and national requirements and apply industry standards.
- Propose design optimization, risk mitigation, constructability, coordination, sustainability, and resiliency solutions.
- Provide guidance on project non‑conformances and operational issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence design and project development.
- Identify optimization opportunities for design‑build and design‑bid‑build system projects.
- Partner with linked design disciplines to improve coordination of design concepts.
- Create technical documentation (TEG Talks, A3s, case studies, whitepapers) and present findings.
- Design across all project phases with a focus on technology/low‑voltage systems.
- Conduct peer reviews and due‑diligence studies.
- Use collaboration tools (e.g., Bluebeam Studio) and 3D/BIM software (Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp).
