The position’s core duties include collecting, scoring, and ranking top product issues globally, partnering with product groups and regional teams to resolve priority issues, and delivering issue reporting for leadership. You will lead containment efforts for critical issues, drive corrective actions, and analyze product health trends using service data tools. Additionally, you will serve as a subject‑matter expert on component life and durability, building lifecycle cost models and identifying gaps to improve durability.

Caterpillar’s Mining Center of Excellence (MCOE) is seeking a data‑driven, strategically minded professional to join our team. This role plays a critical part in improving Physical Availability across global mining operations by leading product issue management and driving enhancements in product health, data analytics, and component lifecycle performance. It involves close collaboration with regional teams and product groups to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous improvement in reliability and durability.
We seek candidates with technical excellence, such as former Technical Representative experience and knowledge of Caterpillar’s product support practices, preferably with mining industry exposure and understanding of global quality standards. Strong analytical skills in data visualization and reporting (Power BI, Snowflake) and familiarity with reliability systems are required. Customer focus, service excellence, consulting ability, and effective communication across the enterprise are also essential.
The position is based full‑time in Tucson, AZ or Peoria, IL, requires up to 25 % travel, and offers domestic relocation assistance. Sponsorship is not available.
The salary range is $126,000 – $189,000, with total compensation including benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), HSA, flexible spending accounts, health lifestyle programs, employee assistance, voluntary benefits, career development, incentive bonus, disability, life insurance, parental leave, tuition reimbursement and more.
