  • Oversees HVAC functions of the BUILDER SMS data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Tasks may be performed in uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted surfaces/floors, cement structures and surfaces.

  • Maintains appropriate and consistent climate control throughout the base.
  • Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs and modifies/upgrades HVAC system chillers, air handers, cooling towers, heating units, air conditioners, coils, condensers, boilers/water heaters, furnaces, piping, valves, control systems, etc. (this includes government provided portable chiller units). Additional requirements in AFI 32-1001, Civil Engineer Operations, will be followed.
  • Performs a daily inspection during normal duty days of HVAC systems and records the results of daily log inspections to determine any abnormities. Analyzes records to correct non-optimal practices and conditions and informs customer of potential issues.
  • All HVAC preventive maintenance shall be accomplished in accordance with manufacture’s recommendations and/or PMTLs (whichever is more stringent), to ensure safe, functional, efficient, and reliable systems.
  • Transports, connects, and operates government provided portable chiller units as necessary.
  • Effectively coordinating several projects simultaneously.
  • Shall utilize a daily log in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 147-2002, Reducing Release of Halogenated Refrigerants, to annotate inspections of Chillers.
  • Ensures building temperatures and humidity are within specified ranges.
  • Cleans duct work as required to ensure system performance.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and follow safe lifting procedures.
  • Maintains a water treatment and corrosion control program to control scale, algae, slime, and corrosion on HVAC systems. The contractor shall document water analysis, quantity of chemical used, and corrective actions.
  • Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.

  • Thorough knowledge of refrigeration, chillers, HVAC, pneumatics, steam, condensate systems.
  • Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
  • Licensed in accordance with Florida state law unless under the direct supervision of a technician having the appropriate licensure in accordance with Florida State law.
  • Communicating effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience with Tracer Ensemble
  • Adherence to established company operating policies, procedures and accepted industrial practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of National, State and Local Building and HVAC Codes.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment /tools as may be required for the position (computer, phone, copy machine, hand-held radio, etc.)
  • Work experience supporting a military base or civilian installation.
  • United States Citizenship.
  • May be required to enter confined spaces.
  • Ability to obtain Government credentials that may be required.
  • Ability to use tools, equipment, chemicals, etc. to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Must have three years’ experience with Industrial HVAC/R equipment i.e. 500 ton or larger chillers, water towers & condensate boilers.
  • Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Extensive knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must have experience on 500 ton or larger chiller, and Florida HVAC State License Class A certified.
  • Able to work a rotational shift as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Must have all EPA 608 technician certifications i.e. Type 1,2,3 & Universal.
  • Having the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Familiarity with basic mathematical functions.
