Process Engineer

Description

The Process Engineer III is responsible for applying design and process engineering skills to a variety of Oil, Gas and Chemical/Petrochemical projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.

• Will be required to make local on-site visits necessary to support projects, within a 50-mile radius.
• Establishes process engineering scope, estimated man-hours and schedule to facilitate proposal development, progress tracking and development of change orders.
• Perform as Lead Process Engineer for small to medium size jobs, depending on complexity
• Communicates scope changes promptly.
• Completes sizing and design of process equipment, such as pumps, heat exchangers, separation equipment, tanks, etc. required for process design.
• Performs pressure relief calculations using process simulation software and prepares complete PSV packages for client review.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Process Engineering.
• Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
• Knowledge of process engineering terminology, measures, concepts and principles necessary for execution of process design tasks.
• Prolonged sitting or standing for long periods of time.
• Works at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
• General aptitude with process simulation, hydraulics, and other process-related software.
• Ability to effectively communicate with peers, co-workers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related engineering degree, from an ABET accredited university required.
