In this role you will contribute to the design and delivery of complex power‑generation and propulsion modules for key U.S. Navy platforms, gaining hands‑on experience at ship‑building facilities and Navy sites. The position offers early‑career engineers the chance to expand system integration skills while working on high‑impact, high‑visibility projects, with scheduled and unscheduled travel as needed.
- Conduct detailed system design, development, and gated reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Support configuration management, factory and shipboard installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
- Develop technical specifications, select key components, and produce 3D/2D, structural, piping, and assembly drawings.
- Provide logistics analysis inputs, technical support documentation, and assistance to customers, suppliers, and field service personnel.
- Manage configuration changes, design documentation, and data deliverables, including standardization documentation.
- Investigate and resolve design, manufacturing, and test issues through root cause analysis, problem reports, safety alerts, and drawing alteration requests.
- Serve as primary technical liaison for key customers on a range of topics.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree (associate, bachelor, master, JD/PhD) combined with relevant experience, is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and possesses strong communication, organizational, and independent‑working abilities. You must demonstrate detail‑oriented decision‑making, the ability to present complex technical concepts effectively, and willingness to work periodically in industrial or shipboard environments.
- Associate’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years experience, or Bachelor’s with 2+ years, or higher degree.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and sound decision‑making.
- Proficiency in presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including shipyard or shipboard environments.
- Experience with NX modeling software, test requirement setting, and data post‑processing.
- Analytical ability to solve challenging engineering problems and determine root causes.
- Team‑oriented interpersonal skills and initiative.
- Experience with gas turbine, marine or industrial accessory systems (fuel, lubrication, fire suppression, etc.).
- Experience in requirements management and system‑level validation/verification, including test plan review.
