The role requires proven skills in urban design, with an appreciation of the principles of architecture and/or landscape architecture, strong conceptual design thinking, visual communication skills, the ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a deadline-focused environment and principles of regenerative urban development.
We are seeking an Urban Design professional with 3-4 years professional experience and a strong interest in the built environment, particularly the relationship between buildings, public spaces, and urban systems including innovative housing models and delivery methods.
- Ability to provide building and development analysis including compliance testing and capacity studies
- Experience working within local planning and approval contexts in particular NSW
- Demonstrated high level communication skills including report writing and ability to undertake presentations.
- Demonstrated experience in urban design projects including mixed-use urban projects, residential / community planning, campus planning or transit-related projects.
- A degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field
- 3–5 years of professional experience with a focus on urban design
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and contribute ideas with enthusiasm.
- Good graphic communication and technical skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Grasshopper, QGIS).
- A self-starter and able to work independently and ask for feedback when needed.
