Support clients with household management tasks, such as caring for their pets, closet organization, light housekeeping, etc.
Protect yourself with proper transfer and lift techniques
Always practice safety and infection control methods
Communicate changes in a resident's condition to the nurse on duty
Maintain chart documentation, and utilize applicable software to do so
Participate in ongoing education and training offered by Givens and/or outside resources as required
Assist Home Care clients with activities such as shopping, transportation to appointments and daily tasks that do not require extensive "hands on" care
Always practice within your scope of training, license and certification, whilst also adhering to all relevant and applicable policies and procedures
Offer companionship by joining clients on walks or accompanying them on visits
Assist and perform tasks delegated by Campus and Home Care nurses to support clients with their ADLs and IADLs

Must be able to sit approximately 10% of the time and stand for approximately 90% of the time
Must be at least 21 years of age
Active CPR certificate or willingness to obtain with six months of joining the team
Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet with or without a mechanical device
Ability to travel frequently, with an active driver's license
Previous experience in home care, home health, geriatrics or LTC preferred, but not required
High School or GED equivalent is preferred
