Experienced environmental professional responsible for managing overall goals related to quality and performance of environmental projects, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining client relationships.
Actively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the team. Provide mentorship to Associate Principals as assigned.
Training and oversight of subordinate staff members
Initial management and supervision, QA/QC of fieldwork activities. Providing Senior field expertise when needed.
Oversee the preparation and review of proposals and change orders
Assist senior staff with staffing decisions
Review and provide feedback of field and laboratory testing by others. Perform training and/or corrective action as necessary.
Supervise subordinate staff regarding work assignments to ensure properly trained and experienced personnel are assigned. Perform Principal oversight and review of projects in accordance with ECS Principal Policy. Ensure that deliverables are completed, and projects are closed out in accordance with ECS QA/QC policies and guidelines. Assist with client interaction/discussion regarding findings and conclusions of reports.
Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary
Interact with Sr. Project Managers to ensure that project set up and implementation procedures are being completed.
Oversee environmental projects. Assist junior staff with resolution of issues and training of field staff
Perform deliverable reviews in accordance with ECS Principal review policy
Oversee project budgets and review change orders and invoices. Assist with collections efforts.
Communicate with junior staff to direct field work. Perform site visits as required on the project. May involve several projects being performed simultaneously.
Oversee the preparation and review of environmental reports from junior staff.
Host or attend project discussions with clients, follow up on reports to determine if there are questions

Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
Excellent ability to manage and develop new clients
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Demonstrate established technical excellence, strong leadership skills, and an dedication to continuous professional development for their benefit and for the advancement of their field.
Candidates must have achieved previous designation as Principal at ECS or hold similar designation from competitor firm
16 or more years of experience can meet education requirements
Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local wetlands regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies.
Minimum 12 years of related experience
Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting.
