Description

The Entry‑Level Process Engineer will focus on designing and engineering manufacturing facilities and equipment, supporting facility infrastructure and critical utility systems. Responsibilities include performing heat‑transfer and pressure‑drop calculations, documenting process design scope, and supporting field installation teams with construction site observations. The role works closely with architects, engineers, designers and other internal and external team members to ensure coordinated, constructible, and complete designs.

• Document process design scope in coordination with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and internal/external teams for coordinated, constructible designs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time effectively.
• Solve complex problems under mentor supervision.
• Contribute to all design phases from studies to construction administration.
• Perform basic‑complexity tasks supporting senior Process Engineers.
• Produce block and process flow diagrams, user requirements specifications, equipment lists and general arrangements, equipment datasheets, utility summaries, and P&IDs.

Requirements

• Self‑check work and communicate regularly with peers and supervisor.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioprocess Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
• Have 0–3 years of design‑firm or related engineering experience; FE exam completion preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to MA, PA, OC, SD, or STL.
• Basic experience with engineering calculations, chemistry/biochemistry, process modeling, material and energy balances, fluid mechanics, hydraulic modeling, and heat transfer.
• Strong communication and cross‑discipline coordination skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and engineering software for drafting and process modeling.
