Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting daily inspections and surveillances of construction and testing activities and suppliers/manufacturers in accordance with contracts and specifications requirements. The candidate must provide examples of similar experiences and accomplishments and demonstrate effective communication skills.Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
The candidate is responsible for controlling the quality of all construction works under the direction of the QC Manager. Dedicated full time to the construction project, with no other responsibilities other than quality related duties. Also responsible for the construction quality control documentation including reports, completed submittals and approved shop drawings in a controlled and secure documentation system.
Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
Ability to determine acceptability and rejectability of work base on assigned criteria.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
Additionally, the candidate is expected to identify and implement quality management needs beyond ISO 9001:2015 on a project-specific basis as needed.
Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
Ability to write detailed reports and demonstrated computer skills necessary to access, research, and document results in the electronic medium are expected.

Four-year college degree or equivalent field experience
The candidate is also expected to be willing to travel and relocate to fulfill the position’s requirements.
Maintain valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position.
Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to walk on uneven surfaces
5 years of experience in heavy civil and/or track construction, in inspection is preferred.
Certified Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) with Corps of Engineers preferred.
Regularly kneel, bend, and squat
Familiar with the Three-Phase Program of inspection.
Familiarity and knowledge of codes and standards applicable to specific construction activity is expected. QC inspection certifications from DOT, ASQ and other recognized training institutions are preferred
Bilingual is a plus.

Knowledge of company quality control program applicable to work.
Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record.
Previous quality control inspection experience.
Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
