Provide engineering technical support to the field during construction
Design electrical substation structures for 12 kV to 500 kV, including switchgear and control buildings, switchyard and gantry structures, telecommunication structures, retaining walls, and transformer oil containment systems
Design foundations for transmission towers, steel monopoles, and wood pole structures
Travel to and visit client sites as required
Support the development of proposals, study reports, engineering specifications, and contract documents
Manage multiple tasks independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment
Ensure personal and team output is completed on time, on budget, and meets or exceeds quality standards
Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders

Proficiency in concrete, steel, and masonry design
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher, specializing in structural design
Working knowledge of structural drafting software such as AutoCAD
Working knowledge of structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro and SAP2000
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status or eligibility to register with the Engineers & Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC)
