The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. This role handles lease signings, acts as a landlord for property owners, and ensures a smooth move‑in experience for new residents.
- Respond to phone and internet inquiries and schedule virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
- Qualify prospects using lead management software and assist with applications and deposits in compliance with policies and Fair Housing.
- Maintain an updated availability report and process applications, including credit checks and rental history verification.
- Obtain community manager approval and follow up with applicants regarding their status.
- Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move‑ins, collect resident signatures, and provide community orientation.
- Manage the property’s social media presence to increase visibility and engagement.
- Promptly address resident complaints, questions, and service requests to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Generate new leads, schedule appointments, conduct tours, and maintain showrooms.
- Execute marketing strategies within budget, including competitive rates, referrals, promotions, and outreach.
- Plan and host resident events such as parties and contests, and attend after‑hours functions as needed.
- Complete lease, move‑in, check‑out, and other required paperwork accurately and timely.
- Participate in weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure prompt resolution of resident service requests.

Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of related experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting, occasional stair climbing, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. The position is primarily office‑based on‑site, though occasional outdoor work and exposure to bright lights and noise may occur.
