You’ll oversee strategic growth, project execution, and team development across Washington, Oregon, and beyond—supporting high-profile clients such as Sound Transit, TriMet, WSDOT, and local municipalities. You will also serve as a key contributor to our national Rail + Transit practice, collaborating on pursuits and initiatives across North America.

  • Drive quality assurance and ensure all work complies with TYLin’s standards.
  • Support the development of scopes, schedules, and budgets and monitor progress against key performance indicators.
  • Guide commercial strategy and mitigate risks during proposals and contract negotiation.
  • Manage sector compliance with legal, commercial, and risk management policies.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of inputs for monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting.
  • Build and expand relationships with key regional clients and industry groups.
  • Serve as TYLin’s senior Rail + Transit representative in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with national leadership to implement strategic growth initiatives and increase market presence.
  • Partner with other Sector Managers to promote integrated services and cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Actively contribute to national pursuits, technical innovation initiatives, and sustainable infrastructure design.
  • Drive client account management, capture planning, and proposal development for priority pursuits.
  • Oversee project execution from concept to completion, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Support hiring, retention, and staff development efforts to strengthen technical capabilities and leadership pipelines.
  • Provide support and coaching to project managers on revenue forecasting, change management, claims, collections, and project health reviews.
  • Lead the Pacific Northwest sector’s financial performance, including P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and revenue recognition.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, designers, and technical experts across the region.

Based in one of our regional offices (Seattle, Portland, or surrounding areas), this leadership role is an exceptional opportunity for a proven professional with deep regional knowledge, client relationships, and a passion for delivering transformative transit solutions.

  • Experience with design of rail and transit infrastructure including stations, guideways, and right-of-way structures.
  • Ability to lead teams across geographies, collaborate nationally, and operate with integrity and transparency.
  • Confident communicator with proven leadership and mentoring experience.
  • PE License preferred.
  • A strong track record of delivering complex transportation projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Existing relationships with key Pacific Northwest agencies (Sound Transit, TriMet, WSDOT, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in Rail + Transit engineering, construction, or project delivery.
