Leads investigation of complaints, identify possible causes, conducts further testing, proposes resolution and works with sales to resolve customer complaints.
Reviews and supervises the work of Concrete Testing Services.
Completes all required paperwork (reports, forms, letters, etc.).
Performs ongoing ACI & ASTM concrete and raw materials testing. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Applies statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data, writes reports and generates graphs and charts to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Conducts onsite safety observations.
Trains operating personnel on product quality, features and benefits.
Evaluates existing quality or productions standards and procedures, recommends modifications and leads their implementation.
Leads Research and Development initiatives within the group, optimizing and improving the quality of current concrete mixes.
Visits job sites, attends pre-pour meetings and calls on customers promoting value-added products, collecting market and job information.
Develops and supervises plans for efficient use of materials, equipment and employees.
Manages, trains and develops direct and indirect personnel.
Advises upper management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through technical support calls with customers.
Acts as a mentor to new or less experienced QC Field personnel relating to technical knowledge.
Monitors pour schedules and insures QC presence on High Priority projects.
Conducts audits and makes ongoing improvements to the Quality Performance System.
Develops work process to help meet or exceed Company goals & objectives as well as performance targets.

Education High School Diploma and Industry related certifications or equivalent education in a technical concrete college.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high profile and fast paced environment is required.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.Familiarity with DOT regulations

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule are required.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must have knowledge of concrete production and testing.
5+ Years related experience in Concrete Production and Testing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
RRSP and DC (CAN) and 401K (U.S.)
