The associate performs assembly of climate control components and handles materials according to established procedures, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and adhering to all safety guidelines.
Additional duties include supporting overall factory workflow, keeping work areas clean and orderly, and participating in meetings and training initiatives to assist new employees and resolve operational issues.
The role utilizes a variety of hand and power tools, assembly fixtures, and material‑handling equipment such as vacuum lifters, cranes, and forklifts to complete assembly and installation tasks.
Work hours follow a 3rd‑shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with overtime and weekend hours required as production demands dictate.
- Assemble Sycool units and non‑foam panel door and jamb assemblies per defined processes.
- Complete final assembly of foam panel doors, including installation of handles and hinges.
- Perform safe material handling procedures and maintain Kanban inventory levels.
- Adhere to Munters Quality System and complete in‑process quality check sheets.
- Observe and enforce all safety rules throughout the shift.
- Assist with various factory operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Participate in meetings and work groups for training, issue resolution, and policy updates.
- Use hand and power tools, assembly fixtures, vacuum lifters, cranes, and forklifts.
- Assemble sheet‑metal parts and install electrical, gas, and HVAC equipment.
- Test assembled equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Load finished products onto trucks for shipment.
- Mentor newer employees through on‑the‑job training.
- Complete quality assurance inspections and associated paperwork.
- Read mechanical and electrical blueprints and operate measuring devices.
- Work the 3rd‑shift schedule (7:00 PM–5:30 AM) with required overtime and weekend hours.
