Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Description

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution machinery throughout our facilities. The role involves installing, servicing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical components to keep production lines running efficiently.

• Promote safety by following all procedures and adhering to MHE safety standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on material handling and pneumatic systems, documenting work.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc.
• Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, parts used, and inventory.
• Mentor junior technicians and maintain positive relationships across the operations facility.
• Use a CMMS and Microsoft Office tools to manage documentation and reports.

Requirements

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures, requiring movement between departments, floors, and properties—averaging six to twelve miles per day. Technicians must be able to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders or aerial lifts, and regularly lift up to 50 lb while wearing required personal protective equipment.

• Hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience repairing MHE or automated conveyors.
• Have 1 + year experience reading blueprints/electrical schematics and understanding electrical principles.
• Preferred: associate degree in mechanical/electrical field and experience with robotic operation and OEM safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts, lift up to 50 lb, reach overhead, climb ladders, and use aerial lifts.
• Work in varied warehouse environments, walking 6‑12 miles daily and typing 1‑2 hours on a computer.
