The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment at the Matteson, IL location.
Daily tasks include promoting a safe work environment, completing preventive maintenance with proper documentation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on MHE such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays, and managing department inventory through a CMMS. The role also provides opportunities to mentor junior technicians.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have at least two years of experience repairing MHE, and be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree in a mechanical or electrical field, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint reading, and robotic or electromechanical maintenance. Physical demands involve lifting up to 49 lb, standing for long shifts, and occasional travel up to 20%.
