You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of 30–50 key accounts, focusing on both new business and existing client growth. You will spend most of your time out in the field — meeting clients, identifying opportunities, and building long-term relationships that drive revenue.

You will combine strategic planning with hands-on sales activity, supported by a dedicated internal team.

  • Identify and develop accounts to build strong, ongoing client relationships.
  • Work closely with platform partners to create reciprocal business opportunities.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls and quarterly strategy reviews.
  • Aim to convert at least two new accounts per month.
  • Plan weekly activity — 3–4 days on the road and 1 day in the office for admin and follow-ups.
  • Support and grow existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Drive new business through cold calling, face-to-face meetings, and targeted outreach.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities worth approximately £1m annually.
  • Conduct 2–3 scheduled visits per day, gathering key client and competitor insights.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Proven experience in B2B field sales, ideally within industrial, construction, or energy sectors especially in the hire market
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
