The Senior PIM Product Owner on the Rental and Used Team will lead initiatives that streamline rental operations, improve data consistency across platforms, and enhance product content delivery. The role works closely with engineering and business partners to scope, implement, validate, and communicate enhancements to the Product Information Management (PIM) systems, ensuring a seamless and scalable content experience across Caterpillar’s digital ecosystem.
- Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for PIM capabilities supporting the CRS website.
- Own and prioritize the PIM backlog, aligning enhancements with business goals and dealer needs.
- Lead cross‑functional teams—including engineering, UX, content, and dealer stakeholders—to deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Govern product content taxonomy, metadata, and localization to ensure consistency and discoverability.
- Manage the end‑to‑end Rental Product Catalog, establishing taxonomy, specifications, and ongoing optimization.
- Facilitate resolution of complex business data and technical integration challenges across stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with developers throughout delivery.
- Track delivery, validate releases, and ensure each increment provides maximum value.
- Support change‑management initiatives for dealer digital programs, including training and documentation.

Successful candidates will have strong business analysis skills, critical‑thinking abilities, and experience with PIM platforms such as Informatica, Akeneo or Inriver. They should be comfortable working in Agile environments, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating cross‑functionally with UX, engineering, and dealer teams. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and product‑owner certifications are preferred.
- Demonstrate expertise in business data analysis, API integrations, data modeling, and content syndication workflows.
- Possess strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience managing multiple priorities.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, marketing, communications or a related field.
- Preferred certifications include CSPO (Scrum Alliance) or SAFe PO/PM and familiarity with the SDLC.
- Experience with PIM platforms (Informatica, Akeneo, Inriver) and product content creation for dealer catalogs.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, PowerPoint, Azure DevOps; working knowledge of Adobe CMS is a plus.
- Understanding of rental industry concepts is preferred.
