The intern supports contract and compliance activities by reviewing power purchase agreements, generator interconnection agreements, utility requirements, and system impact studies to ensure project adherence. In procurement, the role works with the team to specify main‑circuit equipment, evaluate vendor quotes for technical compliance, and assist with vendor selection and approval. Engineering duties include creating preliminary guidance documents, material specifications, and detailed Bills of Materials, as well as participating in functional testing, substation energization, and PV system synchronization while maintaining safe work practices.
Project controls responsibilities involve updating drawing sets, specifications, and document logs, preparing distribution packages, managing RFI logs within the CMS, and assisting with critical path method schedule maintenance and weekly labor production tracking. The intern also prepares labor cost reports, supports field quantity surveys, maintains the project filing system, records accurate meeting minutes, and participates in regular team meetings.
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline, and be able to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical studies. Required skills include basic estimating and scheduling abilities (Primavera P6 familiarity is a plus), strong written and verbal communication in English, good organizational and prioritization capabilities, and proficiency with MS Office and general computer tools.
The position involves frequent physical activities such as stooping, bending, lifting over 20 lb, occasional climbing, and work in exposed high‑voltage or hazardous environments, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, electric shock, and chemicals. A flexible schedule is required to support 24/7 operations.
