- Collect and provide information for audit inquiries and give assistance to auditors.
- Manage the daily activities of the Rental accounting department.
- Provide financial analysis statements including monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and general ledger adjustments.
- Review bank and balance reconciliations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget and accounting.
- Oversee month end close.

- Vendor setups and year end 1099 processing.
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
- Masters Degree Preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP at a proficient level.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
- Property Accounting experience preferred, but not required.
- Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at an expert level.
- Knowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at a proficient level.
- Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
- 7 - 10 years of directly related or closely related experience
- Dynamic leadership talent to support team of 3-5 staff.
- 3 - 5 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, Rent Manager or other major accounting software preferred.
- Typical office environment
- Limited travel may be required (in metroplex)
