We are seeking a Constructability Manager to support a large-scale aviation infrastructure project based in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is responsible for ensuring that designs are practical, efficient to build, and aligned with construction realities, project timelines, and budget. Acting as a key liaison between the design and construction teams, this person will provide technical input during design development, identify potential build issues early, and help coordinate effective, cost-conscious solutions.

  • Assist in confirming constructability during design handover and as-built documentation phases.
  • Contribute to construction strategy planning, aligning designs with budget, schedule, and on-site constraints.
  • Identify potential construction challenges and suggest practical alternatives for methods, materials, or sequencing.
  • Support value engineering efforts by reviewing design options for efficiency, cost savings, and execution feasibility.
  • Conduct site visits to validate constructability, identify issues, and provide real-time guidance.
  • Track constructability issues and resolutions, contributing to risk registers and progress reports.
  • Serve as the link between the design consultants and construction teams, attending all design meetings to review plans and provide constructability feedback.
  • Ensure design compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards, including aviation-specific protocols.
  • Use tools such as Bluebeam to review drawings and provide high-level comments, ensuring designs are buildable and meet project requirements.
  • Participate in the change management process by supporting RFIs, drawing clarifications, and scope changes.
