

Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, visible leadership and strong communication
Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analyses
Coordinate statutory inspections, audits and corrective actions
Track corrective and preventative actions to closure
The successful candidate will work closely with client site leadership, operational teams and external stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment and ensure full compliance with relevant Irish legislation and internal procedures.
Verify competency and compliance of contractors and staff working on site
Develop, maintain and review site specific safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements and procedures
Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings and site walkdowns
Evaluate existing controls and recommend improvements to reduce risk
Provide daily advice and guidance to supervisors, managers and contractors
Lead site safety activities and act as the main point of contact for all health and safety matters
Identify training needs and support delivery of safety training where required
Ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act and all relevant regulations and codes of practice

EHS International is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support one of our key clients based in North Cork. This is a 12 month contract role suited to a proactive professional who can lead day to day safety operations, uphold high compliance standards and drive continuous improvement across site activities.
Experience in manufacturing, pharma, industrial or similar high risk environments
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Incident investigation training and experience desirable
Strong reporting, documentation and organisational skills
Relevant health and safety qualification (NEBOSH, Diploma, or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation
Proven ability to influence, engage and communicate effectively across all levels
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Safety Manager or Senior Safety Advisor role
