The Territory Executive is responsible for identifying leads, prospecting, and selling new and profitable business within an assigned market, typically outside metropolitan areas. This role sells the full suite of Republic Services products, including small and large containers for municipal solid waste, recycling, electronic, and universal recycling.
Key responsibilities include acquiring new commercial, industrial, and recycling business to exceed monthly revenue targets, maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, and following up on leads within two hours while documenting tasks in Salesforce. The executive also handles contractual re-signs, cancellation requests, and supports pricing initiatives.
The role requires daily use of Salesforce to schedule activities, develop customer profiles, and deliver sales presentations to both new and existing clients. Regular cold‑calling, capturing customer emails, minimizing rate restrictions, and meeting with the Sales Manager to review performance are also essential.
Qualifications include knowledge of the waste or service industry, strong sales and conflict‑resolution skills, result‑orientation, excellent time management, and analytical abilities. Candidates must thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Minimum requirements are at least five years of relevant sales experience, two years of direct customer‑facing selling experience, and a valid driver’s license. The salary range is $58,100 to $70,000 plus commissions.
