Sprinkler Service Technician

Description

Requirements

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation with willingness to travel within the state of Connecticut.
• Industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma is required.
• Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail.
• NICET certification a plus.
• Commitment to respond and carry out to completion any troubleshooting and repairs on assigned customer systems.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a wide variety of conditions, including heights up to 30 feet or more and also be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Familiarity with the national fire codes.
• Understanding of complex blueprints and solid written and verbal skills.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, customers, building maintenance personnel, and office personnel to execute daily workload.
• Experience in lift operations and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify code issues and non-conformance issues.
• Thorough knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and the necessary tools.
• Confidence and accuracy making recommendations regarding system installation improvements.
• The ability to service, test, inspect and troubleshoot basic and complex fire sprinkler systems with limited or no supervision.
