Review design drawings for quality assurance within scope, budget, and schedule. Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines.
Assist with organizing and maintaining project files and client deliverables and project communications.
Perform routine tasks independently (electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, and site design)
Using pole loading and clearance design software for client projects after being trained.
Work with leaders and team members to facilitate/support internal change efforts to increase organizational effectiveness .
Assisting with developing proposals, work plans, budgets, and project scheduling and managing each deliverable will be required.
Analyze complex engineering tasks, specifications, and inspections.
Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
Assist with the set-up of projects in applicable project management systems.
Lead teams on various project types with advanced knowledge in the theory and practices of design, calculations, and project management.
Plan and drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
Coordinate and organize revisions of project drawings, plot files, and drawings for production work.
Work with Engineers to implement design changes into the system.
Execute a variety of electrical design assignments using the client’s distribution standard drawings and comply with NESC procedures.
Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects.
Responsible for accurate data entry on projects.

Entry-Level Position; 0-2 years of utility design experience.
Occasional need to lift, pull, carry and push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Fulfill requirements of an Engineer-Tech I.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
Capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks.
Advanced-Level position; 7+ years of utility design experience.
Prolonged sitting and standing required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of design/ drafting software.
Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Company needs.
Knowledge of the theory and practices of assigned discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline.
Advanced understanding of design/drafting software.
Understanding of design software such as O-Calc, SPIDA Calc, or other stress-analysis software to develop the design deliverables, is preferred.
High School Graduate or GED, required.
Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
College degree or some college course, preferred.
Mid-Level Position; 3-6 years of utility design experience.
Ability to work extended hours, as needed.
Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America.
Willingness to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
Knowledge of design, calculations, and design systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with others including, but not limited to Project Managers, Engineers, and other Designers in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
