A regional house builder have a requirement for a Development Engineer to join their business to coordinate all aspects of engineering design for new build housing developments in the region.

Prepare financial forecasts in relation to infrastructure inspection, legal, and bond fees identifying during this process associated phasing potential.
Involvement with the planning application
Preparing abnormal schedules and preparing cost schedules for approval
Advising on initial feasibility drainage infrastructure proposals
Monitor and coordinate material movement strategies
Assessing geo-technical information and advising on foundation solutions and infrastructure.
Managing proposed multi utility enquiries with relevant providers.
Co-ordinate existing services disconnections and diversions where required.
Identify build difficulties with civil and structural operations
Advising on highway design requirement

Requirements

bsc

autocad

ms office

multi-site

commercially aware

communication

HNC or BSc in Construction/Civil Engineering
Experience of multi-site working
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Fluent in AutoCAD and MS Office
Commercially aware linking design to cost and value
Good understanding of regulations and legislation impacting engineering design.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
Previous experience as an Engineer working for a House Builder or with a design consultancy
