• Good understanding of the role of Principal Designer requirements under both the CDM and Building Regulation (amendment) regulations (Building safety act)
• Deep understanding of their technical background discipline and how that relates to the built environment sector
• Adapts approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations. For example, sees even subtle cues to adapt; deploys a wide range of behaviours to stay effective. Exemplifies flexibility and resourcefulness; responds deftly to a variety of challenges and situations
• Knowledge understanding and experience of the Built Environment sector.
• Must be able to identify staff training and career development requirements necessary to address skills gaps within the project management field and support initiatives that address any shortfall
• Corporate membership of relevant Institution
• Good ability to check work produced by others including for technical content
• Bachelors or masters degree, in Project Management or a Built Environment technical discipline
• Ability to manage others and to deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Understanding of the input required by all disciplines to delivery designs and the associated ability to generate fees using a bottom up process
