- Identifies and reports operational issues, equipment needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Observes load hook up and determines safety of load.
- Monitors compliance with safety protocols and company policies on the worksite.
- Supports problem-solving and decision-making on day-to-day operational issues.
- Communicates work assignments, priorities, and schedules to team members.
- Ensures proper documentation of work completed and materials used.
- Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
- Interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed.
- Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
- Provides on-the-job training and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Oversees and coordinates the work of crew members to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Assist other craft workers as needed.
- May assist in lifting, position and securing or materials and work pieces during installation.
- May be responsible for routine maintenance or repairs.
- May be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surface.
- Acts as a point of contact between crew members and supervisors.
- Inspects crane for defective parts, documents and notifies the supervisor of the defects or malfunctions.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
