Your responsibilities will include maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the expansion of existing accounts. You will also take on special projects and assignments as directed by the National Sales Manager.
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a key role in expanding market share and driving growth in the skylight category by influencing trade professionals and supporting sales through key VELUX dealers. In collaboration with the National Sales Manager, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans for your region. This includes leading and coordinating efforts with the regional sales team, and engaging directly with dealers, builders, contractors, remodelers, roofers, and architects to promote VELUX solutions.
- Hiring, onboarding, and training new sales team members.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, dealers, builders, contractors, and architects.
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting your regional Outside Sales Team to achieve business goals.
- Managing budgets effectively to maximize profitability within your territory.
- Conducting regular performance reviews with dealers and installers.
- Participating in special projects and assignments as directed by the National Sales Manager.
- Completing timely CRM reports and administrative tasks including scheduling, customer follow-up, and prospecting.
- Hosting product knowledge sessions, “Lunch & Learns,” and dealer events.
- Assisting with field service activities such as installation support or product issue resolution.
- Training industry partners on proper product application and installation.
- Conducting professional sales presentations to promote VELUX product lines.
- Assisting with warehouse tasks as needed.
- Visiting job sites to provide quotes, product recommendations, and field expertise.
- Traveling to support other sales regions, trade shows, and training sessions.
- Developing and executing a comprehensive annual territory plan to drive sales growth.

- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience and outside sales experience (building industry experience a plus).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortable working at heights.
- Skilled in relationship management and customer engagement.
- Proven ability in planning, prioritization, and goal setting.
