Area Manager

This is a senior-level role just below State Manager, with full accountability for crew performance, project delivery, and cultural leadership.

• Be a strong presence at Brendale HQ and in the field
• Ensure effective planning, resourcing, scheduling, and delivery of projects
• Manage 4 direct reports:
• Report to senior leadership with progress, performance, and improvement strategies
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from work-winning to delivery and handover
• Lead and manage 3 pavement crews delivering surfacing works across SEQ
• Drive a cultural rebuild across site and office teams, lifting accountability and performance
• Lead a capable team and help shape the company’s operational future

ConsultANZ are looking for an Area Manager to join our top-tier client in Brisbane. Our client, a leading civil contractor, is seeking an experienced Area Manager to take ownership of surfacing operations across Brisbane.

• Commercial acumen with a strong focus on safety, cost control, and quality
• Strong leadership experience managing both site crews and operational teams
• Knowledge of surfacing methodologies, production, and equipment
• Based in Brisbane
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• 10+ years in civil construction, ideally in surfacing, asphalt, or pavement delivery
• Experience in or exposure to work-winning and tendering processes
• Proven ability to lead change and build positive, high-performing team cultures
