Senior Manager Project Management

Description

• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including reports, change orders, and client communication
• Manage Client Expectations and Contract Scope
• Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements including local/state/federal building codes
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve field issues
• Facilitate meetings, project reviews, and updates across teams
• Track project performance using appropriate tools and report regularly to senior leadership
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables involving all relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate internal resources, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution
• Anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changes
• Lead and manage complex projects through all phases—initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout

Requirements

Birdi Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex infrastructure, systems, and low-voltage Design/Build projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all facets of project management—budgeting, scheduling, team leadership, compliance, and client relations—particularly within commercial, aviation, and transportation environments.

This role requires strong leadership, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines, from internal teams to third-party vendors. Experience in the design, coordination, and implementation of physical security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV), and low-voltage communications or a related field is highly preferred.

• Experience managing electrical/low voltage installations is highly desirable
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience managing commercial projects and/or transportation/airport infrastructure
• PMP Certification is a plus
• Minimum of 8+ years proven experience in project management; 3+ years in a technical/engineering role preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
• In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, procurement, and inventory controls
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, project management principles, low-voltage systems, and physical security systems
• Familiarity with MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software
• Ability to pass TSA background check and/or other airport security clearances
