Senior Cost Estimator - Federal Sector

Description

• Estimate using UNIFORMAT and CSI divisions
• Utilize cost databases such as RS Means
• Perform change‑order estimates and prepare market research studies
• Develop basis of scope and provide conceptual to construction‑level estimates, including Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) studies
• Track planned vs. actual time and cost, recommending corrective actions for variances
• Generate accurate quantity takeoffs, material pricing, and RFIs/clarifications for subcontractor coverage
• Submit cover letter and resume; salary commensurate with experience

Requirements

Procon is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator for a long‑term opportunity in Washington, D.C. Candidates should have 7+ years estimating a wide range of project types, including office, K‑12, colleges, airports, land ports of entry, courthouses, laboratories, commercial fit‑outs, hotels, hospitals, and mixed‑use facilities. The role requires the ability to work on‑site in the DC metro area and pass an HSPD‑12 background check.

• Preferred certifications: ASPE or AACEI
• Pass HSPD‑12 background check and work on‑site in the DC metro area
• Required software: On‑screen take‑off (OST) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); preferred: MII (MCACES), SUCCESS Estimator, GSA Cost Estimating Workbook
