Complete error-free intermediate-level design calculations and/or verify design calculations prepared by team members
Preparing documentation for design folders and reports
Performing on-site inspection duties as needed
Preparing design drawings utilizing Civil 3D tools and perform complex tasks including set-up, alignments, profiles, sections, corridors and pipe networks
Performing and documenting quality control checks on CAD drafting and Civil 3D work in accordance with Binnie’s Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP)
Calculating design quantities for materials and preparation of cost estimates
Prepare complex quantity take-offs, construction specifications, cost estimates and technical reports under the supervision of the EOR

6-13+ years of experience on projects in a civil consulting engineering environment for Technologist role
Previous experience working in transportation or highway engineering environment is preferred
Strong understanding of terminology and application of CAD standards
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or other applicable software used in their area of practice
Degree or Diploma in engineering technology or equivalent from an accredited institution
Experience in alternative project design models for a variety of clients is considered an asset
Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle for site visit preferred
Eligible for future registration as a Registrant with ASTTBC or as a Technician/Technologist with ASET
Excellent organization and time management skills
