Undertake, manage and deliver the protective design of a range of buildings for a variety of projects through all stages of design from concept through detailed design to construction, and within established quality, budget and project expectations;
Perform design checks and/or analysis (local/global response) to blast engineering standards such as UFC 3-340-01, UFC 3-340-02, UFC 4-023-03, ASCE 59-11, and in accordance with relevant local building codes and regulations;
Work collaboratively with the RSR team leader, other members of the team, and/or other Arup teams globally to develop coherent, risk-based security strategies integrating electronic, physical and active security with protective design and/or blast measures to ensure successful delivery of projects/assignments;
Engage with clients and/or their representatives to understand their requirements in relation to security risk management and tailor the delivery of the protective design consultancy service to their individual needs and advise best outcomes;

Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
Preferably degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent;
Preferably recognized as Competent Person (Blast) under Infrastructure Protection Act;
At least 5 years of experience in protective design/blast engineering (or alternatively relevant research/industry experience);
Experience in the use of structural analysis software packages / computational fluid dynamics software packages e.g., GSA, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, Strand7, LS-DYNA / Air3D, Viper::Blast, ProSAir, APOLLO.
Experience in blast analysis on reinforced concrete, steel and composite structures;
