- Oversee internal and consultant-led analyses to quantify the economic, reliability, resiliency, and environmental benefits of Grid United's projects.
- Advance our analytical methodologies and tools to deliver convincing insights to customers and other stakeholders and to assist in identifying new development opportunities that are aligned with Grid United's commercial thesis.
- Collaborate with transmission strategy, regulatory affairs, commercial, and external partners to advocate for policy changes that enable project success.
- Proactively work with stakeholders to solve problems in a calm and no blame way
- Drive innovation in analytical approaches, tools, methodologies, and data integration.
- Represent Grid United in external forums, including customer engagements, regulatory proceedings, industry working groups, and ISO/RTO forums.
- Guide the development of forward-looking production cost modeling, loss of load expectation studies, and other advanced analytics to support project justification.
- Build and mentor a high-performing analytics team, fostering deep expertise in relevant electricity markets, state regulatory environments/frameworks, and project-specific customer value drivers.
- Prepare presentations that communicate complex concepts effectively to audiences ranging from mid-level staff to C-suite.
- Develop and lead the commercial analytics team to execute a strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and long-term vision.

- Support efforts to shape market design and regulatory frameworks that recognize and reward the value of interregional transmission.

- Excellent quantitative skills including analyzing large datasets.
- Ability to read and digest large amounts of information rapidly.
- Experience managing external production cost modeling (AURORA, PROMOD, PSO, etc) or loss of load expectation modeling.
- Proactive and open to embracing new challenges.
- Deep expertise in electricity markets and system planning with specific experience in PacNW, ERCOT, SPP, and MISO.
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and uncertainty, and project changes.
- Experience managing and developing an analytics team.
- Work cohesively and productively across project teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small, nonhierarchical organization.
- Strong writing skills, including both technical and persuasive writing.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task efficiently with constant regard for accuracy and quality.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of communicating complex topics to an array of audiences.
- 15+ years of experience in wholesale electricity markets in a market facing, integrated system planning, or consulting role, or similar.
- Working on a day-to-day basis with highly experienced and proven industry leaders
- Excellent financial backing from leading energy investor with long term commitment, passion for energy, and an understanding and appetite to tackle the challenges of transmission development.
