Description

As a Ventana Special Projects – Senior Project Manager you will lead and deliver a diverse, complex portfolio of mid‑scale $10‑50 million construction and renovation projects with fast‑paced timelines, high client engagement, and exceptional quality. You will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle—from preconstruction planning through execution, closeout, and warranty—ensuring safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction. Collaborating closely with the project team, you will drive on‑time, high‑quality delivery while maximizing efficiency, controlling costs, and building strong relationships with all stakeholders.

• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, meeting scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, including tenant improvements, renovations, retrofits, and smaller capital projects.
• Oversee preconstruction activities such as budgeting, estimating, constructability reviews, value engineering, and trade procurement.
• Review project documents, drawings, contracts, and specifications and flag potential issues to the team.
• Plan and manage daily operations and project schedules while monitoring progress.
• Monitor expenditures, review invoices, and control labour and material costs against the budget and estimate.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, enforce safety practices, and proactively resolve issues.
• Lead project meetings with consultants, trade partners, and clients to ensure clear communication and timely decisions.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact.
• Manage project closeout activities, including deficiency management, turnover documentation, and warranty coordination.
• Train and mentor Project Managers and Project Coordinators.

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction management experience, preferably with a general contractor or special projects division.
• Post‑secondary education in Construction or Project Management (e.g., PMPP, Gold Seal, ABT).
• Proven ability to independently manage $10‑50 million projects from start to finish.
• Experience delivering commercial, multi‑family residential, and industrial construction projects.
• Track record of delivering multiple fast‑paced, complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, cost management, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Autodesk tools.
