Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of networking and network security best practices to offer the best network performance and protection to company systems
This role may occasionally travel to remote job sites or office locations on an as-needed basis.
Maintaining computer networks including routers, switches, wireless access points and other physical hardware
Review, update, create and maintain network related documentation
Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
Assist Cybersecurity team with Creating firewalls rules and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected if needed
Installing and configuring network equipment
Setup monitoring of network devices using SolarWinds to improve network performance for all systems

Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
Able to prioritize tasks and projects effectively, with excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills to accomplish desired results.
Experience with wireless controllers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, web filtering, network access control, and cloud security platforms is preferred.

Dexterity to handle small components and tools.
Prolong periods of sitting and working at a computer and standing and walking during job site or office visits.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong focus on building and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-layered issues.
Strong critical thinking skills and detailed oriented.
Candidates should have at least one year of experience in network or network security engineering with knowledge in enterprise network design, WAN connectivity, IPv4 subnetting, dynamic routing protocols, Cisco and Aruba device management, cloud network architecture, AWS or Azure, and network troubleshooting.
Have strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple priorities under stress.
Valid Cisco CCNA/ CCNP or Aruba certification
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
