The analyst provides first‑level end‑user support, efficiently troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring equipment, and establishing network connectivity. They also maintain printers and telephones, manage IT inventory assignments, and deliver user training to ensure reliable operations.
The position operates primarily in an office setting, utilizing standard equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Physical duties may include lifting computer equipment, using ladders, walking large office buildings, and loading or unloading boxes, containers, or trucks.
The Computer Systems Analyst delivers technical support to government customers, maintaining computer systems, printers, and VoIP telephones while managing IT asset inventory. This role demands strong customer service skills, technical aptitude, and experience with government inventory management.
Frequent use of computers, printers, and various software applications is required, with proficiency in MS Office, ticketing systems, and IT asset management software essential. Success in this position relies on attention to detail, excellent listening and communication skills, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field and possess a Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140 certification. Ten or more years of experience in computer support or IT customer service, including hardware, software, and printer maintenance, are required, with preferred experience in government IT asset management and an active Secret clearance.
This is a full‑time exempt role with typical Monday‑through‑Friday business hours, though additional hours may be needed to meet program performance. Local travel is required to provide user support at various sites.
