Ensure proper handling, packaging, and labeling of issued clothing to prevent misallocation and ensure smooth handoffs to recipients.
Collaborate with CIIP leadership, property book office, maintenance, and security to resolve issues impacting night operations.
Manage stock levels, storage layout, and FIFO/FEFO principles to optimize space and reduce damage or loss.
Lead and train night-shift stock clerks in CIIP operations, including receipt, storage, issue, turn-in, and returns of clothing items.
Support continuous process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and errors.
Conduct nightly quality checks: inspect clothing items for serviceability, defects, tags, and sizing accuracy; quarantine or report non-conforming items per policy.
Assist in developing and updating SOPs, checklists, and process improvements for CIIP night operations.
Coordinate nightly workflows to ensure timely and accurate processing of initial issue requests and returns, maintaining required service levels.
Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members; conduct daily briefings on workload, priorities, and any issues.
Perform cycle counts and audits during the night shift; assist with discrepancy investigations and corrective actions.
Verify documentation and proper data entry in property book and inventory systems; ensure accuracy of issue/turn-in transactions, lot/batch control, sizes, and item condition codes.
Enforce safety, security, and PPE requirements; lead by example to promote a safe working environment and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain accurate records of transactions, rejects, shortages, and return-to-stock activities for nightly reporting.

Ability to work in a structured, process-oriented environment and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Proficient in inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and basic MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Ability to learn new software quickly.
Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
2+ years of warehouse, stock handling, or inventory control experience; leadership or supervisory exposure is a plus.
Basic math and counting skills; ability to perform measurements and calculations as needed.
Leadership certification or training in supervision, coaching, or safety.
Knowledge of clothing and equipment like a lifecycle, sizing, and condition assessment is advantageous.
Night shift (e.g., 1900-0300 or as defined by unit needs), with flexibility for overtime or shift changes based on operational requirements.
Physical capability to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods; ability to operate material handling equipment if applicable.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) for reporting, coaching, and coordinating with other teams.
Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation and obtain and maintain a CAC.
Location: Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) facility; may require periods of standing, walking, and light lifting.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy; ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience with government or military property procedures, custody, and security protocols.
