This role involves assembling a variety of electronic and mechanical equipment to ensure products are ready for shipment on schedule. The successful candidate will read and interpret instructions, assemble parts and tools, and fit electronic components together.
Key responsibilities include mechanical assembly of electrical assemblies and sub‑assemblies such as relays, cabinets, modules, chassis, and cable harnesses using engineering drawings. The employee will also build wire harnesses, crimp, route, and secure cables, and assemble electrical control panels and sub‑assemblies following schematics and work instructions.
The position requires preparing products for shipment by packaging orders, performing out‑of‑box audits, and moving materials from the production cell to the warehouse. Additional duties involve transferring inventory in SAP, tagging and segregating defective material, issuing Quality Escape Reports, and participating in lean initiatives such as 5S while maintaining workstation standards.
Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED, be able to stand up to six hours, bend, stretch, and lift up to 35 lb. Desired qualifications include at least one year of manufacturing experience, proficiency with SAP, basic computer skills, the ability to read assembly drawings and schematics, flexibility to work anywhere on the shop floor, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
