- Operate lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment to repair or fabricate mechanical components to exact tolerances.
- Perform the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of large rotating electrical machines (such as motors and generators) in accordance with ABB standards.

- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Turning or Mechanical Fitter).
- Skilled in the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of rotating equipment such as motors.
- Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical reasoning to identify faults and propose effective solutions
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude, proving your ability to tackle technical challenges with ease.
- Conduct accurate fitting and alignment of parts including bearings, shafts, couplings, coils and seals. Ability to perform minor welding or fabrication tasks to support fitting work.
- Competent in completing job cards, service reports, and using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for job tracking and communication.
- Operate lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment to repair or fabricate mechanical components to exact tolerances. Ability to plan jobs to co-ordinate repair activities and be organized with tools and work methods.
