Working with Key Account Managers and their account teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the client’s priority needs (jobs, pains, gains).
Work with Subject Matter Experts to review AtkinsRéalis’ capability to address the client’s priority needs. Where gaps are identified, work with internal procurements to source missing capabilities from the supply chain.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner organisations to develop and articulate differentiated value propositions that align our capabilities to the client’s priority needs. Work with Commercial Lead to consider the optimum commercial arrangements that will support delivery of the proposition. Support account teams to test value propositions and commercial arrangements with key client stakeholders and update these to address their feedback.
Undertake independent research and engage internal networks to source information about competitor organisations and assess their ability to address the client’s priority needs.
Document all relevant information, assumptions, decisions, and outputs during the capture phase to provide a key term of reference for the subsequent bid delivery phase.
Ensure the appointed Proposal Manager is briefed on our value proposition so that this can be correctly articulated in our written proposals.
Work with marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for raising client stakeholders’ awareness of our value proposition.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously under pressure and with tight deadlines.
Proven experience in the development and execution of winning capture strategies on major pursuits in the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors.
A collaborative and motivating leadership style with the ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams.
A degree or equivalent qualification (relevant technical certifications in business development activity would be desirable).
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. The ability to craft a clear, compelling, and persuasive narrative.
The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in capture strategy and execution for major pursuits and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to develop differentiated value propositions. Skills and experience should include:
An understanding of engineering projects and terminology, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable proposal content.
